ROCKFORD, Mich. — Two bomb threats were made to fast-food restaurants in Rockford on Friday afternoon.

Workers at the following locations received phone threats — Pizza Hut at 2745 10 Mile Road NE and Burger King at 4705 14 Mile Road NE.

Kent County Undersheriff Jon Hess said deputies and canines failed to find explosive devices at both locations.

The threats mirror recent incidents at the Rockford Public Schools and bomb threat training has been present with school administrators and security teams from the Michigan State Police.

Authorities are currently unsure the bomb threats are connected to the Rockford schools incidents.
