GRAND HAVEN, Mich.–A man drove his truck through the Coast Guard Station Gate early Sunday morning, then broke into the station and assaulted personnel.

That’s according to the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety. They said the incident happened just after 6 a.m., and the suspect apparently made the threat of an explosive device in his truck.

Authorities said the man was subdued by Coast Guard personnel and arrested by Grand Haven Public Safety Officers.

All Coast Guard personnel are reportedly safe.

Harbor Drive and the boardwalk are closed until further notice.

Residents of Sand Piper Condos are advised to stay in their residences until the ‘all clear’ is given.
