COLDWATER, Mich. -- A 49-year-old Coldwater man is facing charges of child pornography and eavesdropping after allegedly placing hidden cameras in an apartment.
According to a release from Coldwater Police Department, Leon Johnson was arrested Jan. 24 and will be charged with four counts of possession of child sexually abusive material and three counts of eavesdropping.
Police began investigating Johnson in November 2013 after receiving a tip that he had placed the cameras and someone saw child porn on his computer. Officials say they seized his computer and discovered incriminating materials.
Johnson's next court date is scheduled for March 3 in 3A District Court in Coldwater. He has posted bond and been released from jail, officials said in a release.
