GRAND RAPIDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. — An open house regarding reconstruction to the I-96 and Cascade Road interchange has been scheduled for Feb. 2.
According to a release from Michigan Department of Transportation, the meeting will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at Heather Hills Care Center, 1055 Forest Hill Ave. SE.
MDOT is planning to reconfigure the interchange to a “diverging diamond interchange,” (pictured below).
The 2015-2016 project includes replacing the Cascade Road bridge over the highway with two new bridges. They will also reconstruct Cascade Road between Cascade West Parkway and Kenmoor Avenue, according to a release.
MDOT and township officials will be available for questions and have more information at the open house.
