CASNOVIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man was killed Friday after his pickup truck left the roadway and rolled over.

The accident happened on Trent Road near White Road, with a driver traveling north bound just prior telling police that the pick-up was traveling south bound when it crossed over the center line- this caused the north bound driver to take evasive action, first swerving onto the snow covered shoulder and eventually ending up back on the road and over the center line, over-correcting his vehicle in a panic.

That vehicle then struck the rear tire of the pickup truck, causing it to lose control and flip over.  There were four passengers inside- the driver being thrown from the vehicle and later being announced dead at the scene. The other three passengers were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Two have been released so far.

None of the passengers in the pickup truck were wearing their seat belts.

The driver of the north bound vehicle did not require hospitalization.
