DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) — The Windsor Police Department and Detroit Police are advising drivers to avoid the Windsor-Detroit tunnel due to a suspicious package.
At 6 p.m. Tuesday, the Windsor Police sent out a tweet saying the tunnel was being investigated by police and was currently closed. The Windsor Police are handling this investigation since the package was found on the Canadian border.
Detroit Police are suggesting an alternative route by taking the Ambassador Bridge to go or leave Canada at this time.
