GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – One person was injured after a crash Saturday night.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department said it happened around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of 48th Avenue and Port Sheldon.
Police said an 89-year-old from Hudsonville ran a red light, striking a vehicle driven by a 36-year-old.
The crash caused the 36-year-old’s vehicle to strike a fire hydrant at the northeast corner of the intersection, police said.
Both were taken to a local hospital to be checked over. One was not hurt, the other was last listed in ‘good’ condition.
No names have been released at this time.
