PORTAGE, Mich. — The man who investigators believe is connected to three recent bank robberies was arrested Tuesday after a high-speed chase in Kalamazoo and Van Buren counties.
According to Portage Police, the chase started shortly after 11:30 a.m. after a robbery at the Old National Bank, 6660 S. Westnedge near Crossroads Mall.
The man allegedly robbed the bank of an undisclosed amount of money and fled in his vehicle. He was arrested in the Hartford area after being pursued by police.
Investigators say the man threw a bag of money out of his car during the chase. He will be identified pending formal arraignment.
