GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The app Plowz operates much like Uber, allowing users to order a snow plow on your smartphone.
First you describe your driveway in terms of length, width and composition. Once the job is done, it automatically charges your credit card.
The service was developed just one year ago and is still relatively new to Grand Rapids, but is growing with every snowfall.
“We started with eight drivers in Syracuse, New York and currently it sits we are working together with over 1,000 different plow companies and a little over 1,300 providers. So from Boston to Anchorage, Alaska which is one of the last cities we just opened up. We have a little over 1,300 providers,” said Dan Lopez.
