GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Two suspects forced their way into 918 Watson SW and attempted to rob the resident.  After being pistol whipped the resident fought with the suspects, stabbing both robbers several times before they fled the house.

At 9:46 p.m. Friday, the suspects called the police from Butterworth and Straight claiming they had been robbed and stabbed.

Officers were able to piece the story together and found that the stabbing “victims” at Butterworth and Straight were actually the original suspects.

The suspects were described as unknown males wearing all dark clothing, black ski masks, and one was wearing sunglasses at the time of the attack.

Officers found an Airsoft pistol inside the house that did not belong to any of the occupants and believe that is the gun used in the robbery.

They have been arrested and are charged with home invasion and armed robbery.  Their names will be released after their arraignment.
