MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich. — A teenage girl was injured when a car rolled over after hitting a patch of black ice on U.S. 131 in Mecosta County on Friday morning.

At 8:52 a.m. Friday, the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a single-car rollover on U.S. 131 near Perry Street. The investigation showed that the driver — Robert Bieschke of Cedar Springs — lost control of his vehicle on a stretch of black ice and the car rolled over.

A passenger in the car — Bieschke’s 16-year-old daughter — was transported by EMS to Spectrum Health Big Rapids with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver was not hurt.

Big Rapids Township Fire / Rescue assisted the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
