HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 21-year-old man is recovering in the hospital after officials say he was assaulted with a baseball bat and a pickax.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, two men entered the Howard Avenue residence at about 2:35 a.m. and attacked the victim. His father called police and reported the altercation.
Prior to the assault, officials say the victim and one of the suspects had been arguing on Facebook about the victim’s ex-girlfriend.
The victim is currently in the hospital and is listed in good condition.
The men left before police arrived on the scene and have not been located. Officials have not released their identities.
