GRAND RAPIDS, Mich,– Gerald R. Ford International Airporthas a new look and a continued promise for customers traveling in and out of West Michigan.
The airport revealed its new logo, Wednesday.
Instead of the globe and airplane, it’s now the name of the airport with waves of blue lines above. It’s said to resemble the airport’s iconic canopy and the waves of West Michigan.
“It signifies what we’ve been doing to really move this airport forward,” said Brian Ryks, the airport’s executive director.
“This is a foundation that allows us to leap-frog into the new and exciting things that we continue to do.”
Some new projects coming up include a roof over the parking structure, which would add another thousand covered parking spots, plus renovations to Concourse B which are set to be revealed.
