KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Western Michigan got their first win of their historic 2014 season in the state of Idaho. Now they’re hoping to end the year with another milestone victory there.

The Broncos has accepted an invitation to the Idaho Potato Bowl in Boise on December 20 at 5:45 p.m. Michigan time to face Air Force.

WMU’s first win this year came in Moscow, Idaho against the Vandals of the University of Idaho, 45-33 on September 13.

Western Michigan (8-4, 6-2 MAC) just wrapped up the best one-year turnaround in school and conference history, improving on 2013’s 1-11 record by seven wins. P.J. Fleck was named MAC Coach of the Year and running back Jarvion Franklin led 11 Broncos receiving all-conference honors by becoming the first freshman in MAC history to win Offensive Player of the Year honors.

Air Force (9-3, 5-3 Mountain West) enters the game as winners of five of their last six games.
