GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 17-year-old girl from West Olive is in serious condition Thursday after a two-vehicle crash in Grand Haven Township.
The crash happened on Lakeshore Drive at Lake Michigan Drive just before 4 p.m., according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies say a pick-up truck driven by a 32-year-old Coopersville man stopped while driving southbound on Lakeshore to turn onto Lake Michigan Drive when the teen failed to stop behind the truck and smashed into it.
She was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters before being transported to the hospital. The other driver and two young children in his truck were not injured.
