MONTAGUE, Mich. — Firefighters from seven departments responded to a fire at Montague Metal Works Thursday.
Officials say an off-duty firefighter alerted them to the blaze when they were driving by the business at approximately 7 p.m.
No injuries have been reported, but the building suffered serious damage, including a partial roof collapse.
Fire crews on the scene believe the fire started in the west end of the building, and they said they were unable to get to a portion of the fire because of the roof collapse.
Crews will likely be on the scene well into Friday morning.
