IONIA, Mich. – A 68 year old man from Ionia walked away with non-life threatening injuries Friday after a traffic accident that involved multiple collisions and his vehicle rolling over.
The man was pulling a flatbed trailer with his pick-up truck along M-21 near Pickney Road when his vehicle exited the road and hit a guard rail. The vehicle then re-entered the highway, crossing both lanes of traffic before again veering off the road.
The truck then went up a hill along the highway, hit a tree, and began rolling back down. The vehicle finally came to rest on the trailer that it had been pulling.
The man was wearing his seatbelt and was transported from the scene to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Ionia County police say the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
