Traffic stop leads to the discovery of an active meth lab

HOMER, Mich.- A 19-year-old woman is behind bars after a traffic stop led to the discovery of a meth lab in the vehicle.

According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department, deputies stopped a vehicle in the village of Homer late Saturday night. After a brief investigation deputies discovered an active meth lab in the vehicle.

Deputies state that the 19-year-old female driver, from Litchfield, was arrested and taken to the Calhoun County Jail on various narcotics charges.

Deputies were able to remove the active meth lab from the vehicle with out incident.

The sheriff’s department is still investigating this case.
