LONDON, ENGLAND (Bleacher Report)- The Detroit Lions have a flair for the dramatic, coming back in crazy fashion to best the Atlanta Falcons 22-21.
The Falcons jumped out to a demanding 21-point lead, only to see Detroit whittle the deficit away slowly after halftime.
In the end, Matt Prater was granted a reprieve for missing a 43-yard field goal by a delay of game penalty. He didn’t miss the resulting 48-yarder.
The Lions were lead by Matthew Stafford, who threw for 325 yards, 2 touchdowns and one interception. His favorite target today was Golden Tate, he had 7 catches for 151 yards and one touchdown.
The Lions have assured themselves a share of the NFC North lead as they head toward a much-needed bye. Atlanta (2-6) continues its tailspin, losing its fifth game in a row.
