BIG RAPIDS, Mich. — After a very successful debut last season, the No. 7 Ferris State Bulldogs open up WCHA play this weekend with a two-game series against Michigan Tech.
The Bulldogs are the defending WCHA regular season champs, winning the MacNaughton Cup last season.
A main reason why the Bulldogs won the regular season crown last season was their play at Ewigleben Ice Arena. Ferris State was 15-0-1 at home in conference play and is currently riding an 18-game unbeaten streak in Big Rapids. The last time the Bulldogs lost at home was in the 2013-2014 home opener against St. Lawrence.
Puck is set to drop at 7:07 p.m. ET for both games Friday and Saturday.
