GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A man was arrested Wednesday after fleeing from Grand Rapids Police during a traffic stop.
According to police, an officer was attempting to pull the man over near Hall and Division and he took off. The man later crashed into another vehicle and a pole in the area of Jefferson Avenue and Griggs Street, police said.
The man then allegedly grabbed a young child out of his vehicle and fled on foot. Police located the child unharmed near Dickinson Elementary and arrested the man a short time later in the 500 block of Storrs Street.
He will be identified pending formal arraignment.
