HARTFORD, Mich.– One man is behind bars after Van Buren County Sheriff Deputies and Hartford Police Department found meth on a suspicious suspect Sunday.
According to deputies, at around 5 PM they saw a suspicious man walking near Haver Street and Washington Street. After stopping and talking to 19-year-old Austin Owen, deputies found that he had two outstanding warrants for prior arrests in Van Buren and Berrien Counties. They also found 6 grams of meth to be in his possession.
Further investigation led deputies and police to a nearby residence where drug paraphernalia and components commonly used in the manufacturing process of meth were found.
The Owen was arrested, and he may be charged with possession of meth and meth laboratory components.
