SPRINGFIELD, Mich. – A hit and run has the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office asking the public to help identify a hit and run driver.
A person on a bicycle was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene on September September 2, 2014 at approximately 9:00 pm on W. Dickman Road near the Air National Guard Base in the city of Springfield.
New information has identified the vehicle as a BMW E30 series between the years of 1981 and 1991, or possibly a 1993. The vehicle may have some damage on the front end of the passenger side . The passenger side mirror was recovered at the scene. The color is still unknown.
The victim suffered multiple fractures to the left leg and was transported to Bronson Battle Creek for treatment.
The vehicle and the bicyclist were Eastbound on Dickman Rd.
