SPENCER TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The Kent County Sheriff’s Department has arrested six people in connection with the Sept. 8 killing of Brent Luttrell.

Luttrell, 34, was abducted from his Spencer Township residence and found dead just a few hundred yards away.

Autopsy results showed that he died from multiple gunshot and stab wounds.

According to a release, Kent County officials arrested the six suspects Tuesday and Wednesday.   Their names will be released pending formal charges.

Officials say three masked, armed men entered Luttrell’s residence at about 1 a.m. Sept. 8.

Luttrell fled, and was confronted by at least one other suspect outside.  Police say he was forced into a vehicle and later found dead in the area of Lincoln Lake Avenue and Pinewood Street.

There were three other adults and one juvenile in his home at the time of this incident.  One of those adults, Luttrell’s cousin, sustained facial injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and more people may face charges.
