Triple shooting suspect involved in shootout with Marshals, Chicago police

CHICAGO (WXIN)— The suspect in a triple shooting in Indianapolis was in a shootout with U.S. Marshals and Chicago Police Tuesday, according to WXIN.

A Chicago Police captain suffered a head wound in that shooting but is expected to survive.

According to WXIN, 42-year-old Daniel Brown was tracked to his sister’s apartment in Englewood after stealing a vehicle in Marion County, Indiana on Sunday.

Brown allegedly opened fire on officers who were watching his sister’s apartment at around 7:20 p.m.  He is now barricaded inside with her and is reportedly armed with two guns.

WXIN reports that Brown is also accused ofshooting three people in Indianapolis on Saturday.
