GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- Traffic was backed up on westbound I-196 at Lake Michigan Drive due to a crash involving a motorcycle today.
MDOT has declared that all lanes are now open.
The crash was located between Lake Michigan Drive and Market Street on westbound I-196. Westbound I-196 was shut down at Lake Michigan Dr. for about a half an hour.
Traffic was detoured on to Lake Michigan Drive.
MDOT cameras in the area show the traffic backed up on I-196. 
The cause of the motorcycle crash is unknown at this time as well if there are any injuries or not.
