SHERIDAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A missing man is being sought in Calhoun County.

At 8 p.m. Thursday, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a missing person complaint in the 16000 block of 28 Mile Road in Sheridan Township. Once on scene, deputies were advised that 53-year-old Scott Isham of Sheridan Township had walked away from his house around 11 a.m. Thursday.

Deputies found that Isham had left behind all his personal items and left with a handgun. They were told that Isham suffers from depression and may be a harm to himself.

Friday morning at daybreak, deputies continued searching the area using the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Mounted Division, ATVs, the Calhoun County Search and Rescue Team and the Michigan State Police helicopter once again.

Deputies spent all day searching the area and were not able to locate Isham.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is looking for help in locating Isham. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 165 pounds with hazel eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing gray pants and a black jacket.

Anyone with any information about Isham is being asked to contact the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office or call 9-1-1.
