IONIA COUNTY, Mich. -- Michael Elliot pleaded no contest Thursday to kidnapping, carjacking and escaping from prison.
Elliot, 41, escaped from the Ionia Correctional Facility Feb. 2. He then abducted a woman and forced her to drive him to Elkhart County, Indiana. He was arrested the next day in LaPorte County.
In Ionia County Circuit Court Thursday, Elliot apologized for his actions surrounding that escape.
He will be sentenced for these crimes at a later date, but is already serving a life sentence for the August 1993 murders of four people in Gladwin County.
