Suspect sought after armed Walgreens robbery

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Police are searching for a suspect who they say robbed a Grand Rapids Walgreens armed with a knife.

The robbery happened at about 8:50 p.m. Thursday at the store located at 425 Fuller Ave. NE.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 6 feet tall wearing a yellow shirt, tan shorts and a dark baseball cap.

After the robbery police say he fled from the scene on foot.   An attempt to track him with a K9 unit was unsuccessful.
