MARTIN, Mich. — More than 700 bikers revved up Sunday morning at the U.S. 131 Motor Park Speedway to raise money for the March of Dimes of Michigan and the 14th annual 'Bikers for Babies' event.
Organizers said all of the money raised stays in West Michigan going toward funding research, prenatal wellness programs and the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the DeVos Children's Hospital.
"The biker community is so giving, and they're always looking for charities," said Melissa Petersen, community director for the March of Dimes.
Petersen said the event has raised more than $400,000 since its inception and is on track to raise more than $60,000 this year.
