Police catch fleeing home invasion suspect

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A suspect was arrested after running from officers after a home invasion, that’s according to the Battle Creek Police Department.

It happened at a home on Capital Ave. NE.

Investigators said officers from the Battle Creek Police Department, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, and Emmett Township teamed up to set up a perimeter. They said the 21-year-old suspect was caught near Fremont and Calhoun.

The suspect was taken to the Calhoun County Jail and faces home invasion and weapons charges.
