VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich.– A man from Chicago was arrested after operating a wave runner while intoxicated, that’s according to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Marine Division.
Crews were on patrol Saturday around 8:30 P.M. on Rush Lake in Hartford Township when they spotted the man.
Investigators said after conducting a safety inspection, a Marine Deputy found the vessel operator to be under the influence of alcohol.
The 28-year-old man was taken to the Van Buren County Jail pending arraignment.
The case has been turned over to the Van Buren County Prosecutor’s Office.
