CORONA, Calif. — A California-based food company is recalling roughly 92,657 lbs. of fully cooked chicken Caesar salad kits.
According to the United States Department of Agriculture, APPA Fine Foods is recalling the kits because of possible listeria contamination.
The kits were shipped to Sam’s Club locations nationwide.
The recall is for 11 oz. clear plastic containers and 6.5 lb. boxes that are labeled “APPA Fine Foods/Sam’s Club Daily Chef CHICKEN CAESAR SALAD KIT.”
Specific case codes being recalled: 141851, 141922, 141951, 141991, 142021, 142201 or 142131
“Use by” dates being recalled: 8/14/14, 8/21/14, 8/27/14, 9/1/14, 9/3/14 or 9/17/14.
According to the USDA, the kits were produced between July 4 and Aug. 8.
There have not yet been reports of illness associated with this recall.
