BATTLE CREEK, Mich.- A woman is recovering after being stabbed in the face late Friday night.
According to the Battle Creek Police Department, the stabbing happened near the intersection of Bennett St. and Yuba St. When officers arrived on scene they found a woman stabbed in the face.
A short time later, officers found the female suspect down the road from the scene of the stabbing with allegedly the victim’s blood on her face and purse. The female suspect lied to officers about who she was, but after a short investigation officers were able to correctly identify her and discovered that she had seven unrelated warrants.
The knife used in the attack was found near the scene.
The female suspect was taken into custody and is currently being lodged at the Calhoun County Jail. She is being charged with assault with intent to murder.
The female victim in this incident was taken to a Battle Creek hospital for treatment. Her condition is unknown at this time.
