GRAND RAPIDS, Mich- Power was knocked out to over 1,000 Consumers Energy customers Saturday afternoon after a single vehicle crash on Plainfield Ave. NE.
According to Kent County Sheriff’s Deputies on the scene, a black Geo Tracker struck a power pole in the 3400 block of Plainfield Ave. NE which knocked out power to over 1,000 people in the area.
The power outage has also knocked out power to traffic lights in the area.
Consumers Energy expects to have the power restored to the area around 6 p.m.
No injuries were reported in the crash.
