CASS COUNTY, Mich.- Two separate accidents Saturday morning in Cass County sent three people to the hospital.
The first accident happened at the intersection of Calvin Center Rd. and Calvin Hill St. in Calvin Township according to Cass County Deputies. The crash happened around 11:05 a.m. Saturday morning. Deputies state that a westbound vehicle driven by, 30-year-old Keith Vail of Niles failed stop at the intersection and collided with a northbound vehicle driven by, 61-year-old Duane Gillam of Cassopolis.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There was also a passenger in Mr. Gillam’s vehicle who was uninjured in the crash.
The second accident happened on Marcellus Highway near Glenwood Rd in Wayne Township. 55-year-old, John Janasiak of Edwardsburg was travelling eastbound on his motorcycle on Marcellus Hwy, when he failed to negotiate a curve, running off of the road and downing his motorcycle.
Mr. Janasiak to Bronson Hospital for treatment. Alcohol is believe to not be a factor in the crash. Mr. Janasiak was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
This crash remains under investigation.
