SPRING LAKE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 12-year-old girl is recovering in the hospital after police say she was hit by a car.
The accident happened Wednesday evening on Bridle Path Drive near 168th Avenue in Spring Lake Township. According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, the girl was riding out of a driveway into the road, and slowed down to allow a car to pass by. She continued into the road, but there was a second car that she failed to see.
The driver was unable to stop in time, and there was a collision. The victim was taken to the hospital, where she’s listed in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
