GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Law enforcement officers and community youth will team up on Aug. 1 to play golf for the annual Cops Fore Kids event.
The all-day event at Gracewil Country Club on 4 Mile Road pairs officers with juvenile offenders on probation, as well as youth from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids Youth Commonwealth Steil, Seidman, and Paul I. Phillips youth centers. The outing is meant to promote positive interaction between youth and law enforcement.
Below is the schedule of events for the day:
- Registration – 7:30 – 8:30 a.m.
- Team photos – 8:30 – 9 a.m.
- Shotgun start – 9:15 a.m.
- Golfing ends – 11:30 a.m. – noon
- Lunch – noon
- Prizes and raffle – 1 – 2 p.m.
