Suspect sought after Kalamazoo County bank robbery

COMSTOCK, Mich. — Police are looking for a man who robbed a Kalamazoo County bank at midday Tuesday.

At 11:41 a.m. Tuesday, a lone black male suspect armed with a silver semi-automatic handgun entered the Comerica Bank at 5937 King Highway in Comstock. The suspect demanded cash and forced the employees into the vault.

The man then fled westbound from the bank with an undetermined amount of cash.

A Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety canine tracked the suspect to a parking lot southwest of the bank.

The suspect is described as being from 5-10 to 6 feet in height with a thin build wearing a black hoodie, light gray sweatpants with a double strip down the pantlegs and a dark colored mask.
