TALLMADGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — High speeds and alcohol both likely contributed to an overnight crash in Ottawa County.
It happened on Saturday night at around 9:30 p.m. on Luce Street in Tallmadge Township. Police say the 21-year-old driver failed to negotiate a curve in the road and ended up losing control of his Ford pickup truck.
His truck rolled, and he was thrown from the vehicle. The truck then struck several mail boxes.
The driver suffered critical injuries in the crash, but his exact condition is not clear.
