Muskegon man killed in crash, six others hospitalized

SHERMAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The Newaygo County Sheriff’s Office said that one person has been killed after a head on collision.

Raymond Anderson, 42, of Muskegon, was killed in the two car crash.

Investigators said that they responded to the area of 48th Street near Wisner Avenue in Sherman Township just before midnight on Saturday night.

There were seven people inside the same vehicle as Anderson, and five remain in the hospital including four minors.

The driver of the second vehicle is in stable condition at a Grand Rapids hospital.

At this point, law enforcement does not suspect alcohol to have played a role in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
