KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Four people are recovering from injuries they sustained in an overnight shooting at an apartment complex near Western Michigan University.
It started at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Sunday. Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers were dispatched to the Campus Habitat Apartments on Howard for reports of a large fight. While officers were in route dispatch began taking calls of a shooting in the parking lot at the same location.
Upon arrival, two 20-year-old male victims were found with gunshot wounds to their legs. A 22-year-old male and a 20-year-old female later arrived at Bronson Hospital by personal vehicle. Both had gunshot wounds to their lower extremities.
The injuries are not life threatening. None of the victims are students at Western Michigan University.
