HOLLAND, Mich. -- For more than half a century, the Ottawa County Fair has been thrilling kids and adults with rides, animals, shows and - of course- fair food. Now in it's 56th year, the fair is underway in Holland and runs through Saturday, July 26.
4-H judging, a staple of fairs everywhere, runs each day and includes and annual high point, the 4-H Auction, on Thursday. Dinner begins at 5 p.m. an the auction starts at 6.
There are more grandstand events: Black Cat Thrill Drivers Thursday, and Unique Motor Sports drag racing on Friday. Grandstand admission is $8 for adults and $4 for kids 3-10.
Fair general admission is $3 for adults, kids 10 and under are free.
Friday is both Senior Day and Military, Police & Firefighter Appreciation Day.
