GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality has declared Monday, July 21 to be another Action Day for high levels of ozone. This includes the following counties: Allegan, Kent, Muskegon, Oceana, Ottawa, Van Buren, and Berrien Counties.
People with respiratory issues are urged to limit outside activities.
Try to avoid activities that lead to the formation of ozone, such as:
- Getting gas for your vehicles
- Using gas-powered lawn mowers
- Using charcoal lighter fluid
