Sheriff’s Department: HAZMAT Situation at Michigan’s Adventure

MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. (July 11, 2014)– The Muskegon County Sheriff’s Department says emergency crews were called to a HAZMAT situation at Michigan’s Adventure Friday.

Michigan State Police have confirmed the situation involves chlorine exposure.

Mercy Health officials say there are nine total patients at Mercy and Hackley hospitals, all in fair condition.

Several emergency crews were seen entering the theme park just before 4 p.m., witnesses tell FOX 17.

The White Lake Fire Authority has confirmed that they’re also responding to the medical emergency at Michigan’s Adventure.
