IONIA COUNTY, Mich. (July 9, 2014) — The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-0 tornado touched down in Ionia County early Monday morning.
The tornado occurred at approximately 12:20 a.m. and had maximum wind gusts of approximately 75 mph.
According to the NWS, the tornado ran north of I-96 along Reeder Road west of Keefer Highway.
No injuries were reported, but a roof was partially torn off and five farm buildings were damaged. Trees and crops were also damaged.
