MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. (July 2, 2014) — Dashawn Andrew Boylan, a person of interest in the shooting of Jake Rameau, has been arraigned on other charges.
The 25-year-old was charged Tuesday with unlawful driving away of an automobile, according to the Muskegon County Prosecutor’s Office.
He allegedly stole the car that Rameau was chasing in Muskegon Heights the night of his death, Chief Assistant Prosecutor Tim Maat said.
Rameau, 26, crashed his motorcycle in the 2400 block of Peck Street at about 2 a.m. June 26. Police later revealed that he had also been shot.
