BYRON CENTER, Mich. (June 25, 2014) — Just about everyone who picks up a golf club dreams of playing Augusta National G.C., home of The Masters Tournament, but virtually none of them will ever get the chance to play there.

For some of the youngest golfers around, that is changing. Starting in 2014, the finalists in the Drive Chip & Putt Championship each year earn a trip to Augusta and battle for top honors at the start of Masters week. Boys and girls from 7-15 are eligible to compete in Drive Chip & Putt and must work their way through 3 stages of qualifying before making it to the finals. In west Michigan the local qualifier is held at Railside Golf Club in Byron Center. The event is June 25th and runs from noon-4pm.
