Details On Weekend Rain Chances

Posted

WEST MICHIGAN — (June 20, 2014) Rain showers across the area are starting to let up in many areas. The majority of the rain showers will move out of West Michigan after noon and some peaks of sunshine will be possible.

Dry conditions continue Friday evening through the overnight and for the first half of Saturday. Saturday afternoon gets a little more tricky as a stalled front could allow for some redevelopment of showers and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and early evening. Any storms that develop should be fairly scattered meaning that some areas will stay completely dry. Areas along the I-94 corridor and south will have the best chance for showers and thunderstorms to develop both Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

The weekend won’t be a complete wash-out as periods of dry weather will be possible in many areas especially along and north of I-96. Rain chances continue through the beginning of the next work week.
