KALAMAZOO, Mich. (June 16, 2014) — In light of the recent violence in Kalamazoo County, neighbors and community leaders plan to come together Monday to figure out ways to make life safer.

This evening’s forum is called “Enough is Enough” and is aimed at sending gang members a message that violence and killings will not be tolerated. This comes after 13-year-old Michael Day was shot and killed over Memorial Day weekend.

Three people, including a 15-year-old, are facing charges in the case. That shooting happened in the Edison neighborhood where, neighbors say, there has been a lot of violence in recent weeks.

“Enough is Enough” is set for 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Stockbridge United Methodist Church, located at 1009 East Stockbridge in Kalamazoo.
